Here are the details of the auditions for The Greek Theatre's 2023 production of The Winter's Tale, to be directed by Gill Taylor.

Sat 4th February 2023 - A read-through of the play for familiarity. Everyone is welcome.

Sat 11th February 2023 - Auditions

Sat 18th February 2023 - Auditions

All the above are at Walthamstow School for Girls, E17 9RZ, from 10:00 to 13:00

Bob Hutt will be at the main reception (on Church Hill) to meet and greet and tell you where to go.

We should be in the Library, but this could change on the day.

Production week is Sat 22nd July - Sat 29th July 2023.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING INVOLVED...

No need to bring or buy a copy just yet, as we have copies of the Wordsworth edition to use on the day and for those cast to purchase at cost. Gill wants everyone to use the same edition.

Audition pieces and a description of the main characters can be viewed/downloaded from here.

Note: there is no separate audition piece for Camillo.

Please be prepared to read a maximum of three of these. You will be considered for all parts you are interested in, not just the ones you read. If you have no particular part in mind, or there is not a piece for a part you are interested in, choose any one of the pieces.

We look forward to seeing you at the read-through and auditions.

We always welcome new members and hold open auditions. If you would like to be involved and are free to rehearse on Saturday mornings (indoors, until the weather warms up) do please come along.

We also welcome people who are interested in working back stage. This involves stage management, costume, lighting, front-of-house, hair, make-up, and a myriad of other tasks which crop up when least expected.

If you would like more information before attending the audition or are interested in working backstage, please do get in touch.
