7.30 p.m. (and a 3 p.m. Saturday matinee)

"Our cage

We make a choir, as doth the prisoned bird,

And sing our bondage freely."

Cymbeline

A great and fun play with a wealth of characters: an angry king and a wicked

queen; a strong, upright but seriously flawed hero and a sorrowful princess; a banished nobleman with two kidnapped princes taking on a woefully stupid and clownish pretender; and a scheming Italian villain with nasty designs on the heroine, not to mention an army of ill-clad ancient Britons taking on the might of the Roman Empire.

There really is something for all, with beautiful poetry, plenty of music, and a happy ending with everyone dancing!
