Depending on the weather, you may wish to bring an umbrella, sun-block, hat, blankets etc.  For comfort, you may also wish to bring cushions.

There is no need to bring chairs as they can be supplied if necessary.

No chairs should be placed in the arena for health and safety (and, in some cases, visibility) reasons.

You might also wish to bring along something to drink or even a picnic.

Should you intend to eat a full meal, we'd ask that you might consume this either before the play or during the interval, so as to not distract the actors or other audience members.

Please dispose of any litter in a dustbin or take it away with you.

We perform outdoors in most weather conditions, including light rain/snow, extreme heat/cold.

The only atmospheric conditions that cause us to relocate are torrential downpours, or just afterwards, since that can make the performance area slightly hazardous, and we generally need to keep the costumes as dry as possible.

Should the weather not permit an outdoor performance, the play will be staged indoors, which is most likely to be in the school drama studio.

R E F R E S H M E N T S

You can of course bring your own, but teas, coffees and other light refreshments will be available for a small fee at the interval.

We don't sell tickets in advance, partly due to performing outdoors and our audience deciding on the day whether or not they wish to attend.

Tickets can be purchased on the door on the day.  If the weather is inclement, we'll perform indoors.  There is no refund or exchange.

Please bring any relevant ID cards should you require a concession.

We are very fortunate to be able to use the Greek Theatre at the Walthamstow Girls' School and would ask our patrons to respect the environs.

The Greek Theatre Players cannot be held responsible for the actions of audience members or any loss or damage and so would ask all of our patrons to assist us in creating a welcoming and safe environment.

CONTENT

Please make sure you are generally familiar with the content of the play you are coming to see.  Some parts of Shakespeare can be quite violent or bawdy.

CHILDREN

If you are intending to bring young children, please do keep them with you at all times and do not allow them to run about unsupervised, especially during the performance.  It isn't fair to the actors or the other audience members and they may hurt themselves.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We generally don't mind photographs being taken, as long as it's not flash photography.  We'd ask that any photos / footage taken is shared with us via social media.  Please do be considerate of the actors and other audience members.

SMOKING

There is not smoking allowed anywhere on school property, either indoors or outdoors.

If you are interested in being in or supporting our productions then please email us at:
